Well for some reason the
weather is never seems to help H chapter! I was supposed to head to Sharon
on Friday afternoon the weather man was saying it was supposed to get wet
and cold on Friday night but nicer on Saturday! but a friend
of mine needed me to come by and see her about pic I took of her daughter,
on way back from Sturgis! so I decided to go there on the way. I was on my
way loaded down with my usual stuff but took a detour up to Alva! As I got
closer it was getting colder and damper! just about the time i got there
it started to sprinkle so I rolled my bike into my friends barn and shut
the door so my gear didn't get wet!.

After about an hour of going over pic with my friend and
visiting with her and her sister and another friend I had not seen
in about 25 years! I was ready to head on to Sharon but when I looked out
it was raining and already dark! now all of you know I will ride in the
rain but i dont like riding after dark especially in the rain! not to
mention i would be riding into to some of the heaviest deer population in
the state! since two of my friends had hit deer this year I decided to
wait till morning to ride on over. I had a choice to sleep in a nice warm
bed or ride in the rain ok maybe Im turning into a woose. haha the last
thing was I got to visit a bit more with my friends while they were in
town!

we sat and talked
till about 12:30 then I hit the rack so I could get up early and hit
the road. we got up and had some coffee then i back my bike out of
the barn and headed to Sharon I did take time to fill up before I left
town! then out 64 west of Alva and thru Freedom and then to Moorland! when
I got to Moorland I could not remember how to cut across so I stopped at
the gas station and ask! they gave me directions and I was off again. I
made it into the camp gound by about 10:30 set up camp and got my camera
out and got started! it seems I'm not the only one that decided to wait
till sat morning to come since the weather was so cool for this time of
the year!

The crowd was showing up as was getting set up! it wasn't
long the games started! of course at this one the kid games are
first. they start this with the tricycle races followed by the egg relay.
and some 50 cc and under races too! these kids get almost as serious the
grown ups are about winning! then we moves out to the dirt for the barrel
races! then the big boy races there were a couple of less bikes this
time which I think may be attributed to the not so good weather! but
they were completive to the end! off the dirt track and on to the bike
games win or lose I love to play in these! I don't think I got a
trophy this time! but I had fun playing!
