by the time we got back it was just about time to start he games starting with the little kids! well I did step off to the side from time to time away from the kids to take a few shots! then right back to the games! we did the wheel barrel tater race! then the egg relay, then the tricycle relay, then the little ones did a 50cc and below race! the winner did a bit of showing off after by doing donuts for us! after all the kid games were done the adults started theirs, with the plunger race followed by the panty race! out to the track for the barrel races, just like they do with the horses! then the lawn mower races, they had these things hopped up and ready to roll! from the first take off there was front wheels in the air! Monk and Spider battled it out! for first place! after that was decided a couple of the girls decided to try their had at driving them! they had a lot more trouble holding them on all four wheel as they went around the corners! they even had a couple of minor crashes, all in all it was a good show though! at the end Spider and Monk gave the girls their plaques to the girls! all right now on to the mail event! the dirt drags! this competition gets intense! I cant really keep track of who wins what because i am too busy trying to get good pic of the action! and keep the dust out of my camera! the pictures tell who won what at the trophy presentation! on to the bike games! this gets every bit as competitive as the drags these guys take this serious me and Jamers got the tater race, wide dawg got the double slow race, and so on but if you plan to get a plaque at this event put on your game face! there is some young talent coming up and they are good too! well after all the plaques and trophies were passed out the music kicked in! |
I got a heads up in time to see the girls get
Sarge for his with silly string for his birthday! and even a belly pic of
pippy! some more music and dancing and finally a stage show! about 1am I
finally hit the bed! I got woke up Sunday morning about 6:45 to rain
drops on my tent! at first i layed there and didnt want to get up! about 7am
I needed to pee so I crawled out of bed took care of that and grabbed a cup
of coffee then started to pack up I have been in this camp ground in heavy
rain and i decided to try to beat it! it only took me about 30 min have my
whole camp on he bike and ready to go! I said my good bye's to those that
were up and hit the road! I knew i didn't want to do the sandy road again so
i went to Sharon then to to Mutal just as I got there it started to sprinkle
again but I made the turn and headed to Seiling I only got about 4 miles
when the rain started getting heavy and I had to pull over and put on my
rain gear. as I was riding closer to Seiling it started to lighting and
thunder and rain harder! that back road gets a lot of heavy traffic and has
ruts in the pavement that hold water! I kept feeling it hydroplane so I just
had to slow down. oh well you can only get so wet! once i turned at Seiling
I actually started to try to ride out of the rain! but I was almost in
kingfisher before i finally rode out of it! I rode the last 39 mile
home in a cool breeze but still enjoyed the ride! by 11 oclock I was backing
my bike into the garage! well till next time The Picture Man |
