Well here it is
Friday and the damn weather man is predicting severe weather again! Im not
to much worried though most of the time they warn us and then nothing of
course they are talking about the whole state and Im going Sharon for the
dirt drags and most storms come from south west so im good right! they did
say they were expecting some rain later in the evening but hey I planed to
be there before that so I shouldn't even get wet! so I'm on my way by 3
pm! I headed thru Kingfisher and then Watonga. smooth sailing so far I got
to Seiling and there is some rough looking clouds out there to the west
and it is looking ominous! no rain yet but im starting to hurry so I can
get there and get camp set before it starts! when I get to the corner by
the cemetery, I see Wide Dawg and Pippie along with Boop, Wide Dawg
hollers we are under a tornado watch and one is about 5 miles away! Oh
great well I headed on down the road and into camp right to my spot and
got off and set my tent as quick as I could so I had a dry spot to put
every thing! i got done just in time too! how ever the rain didn't last
too long nor was there too much of it! I ran around and started taking
pic! oh and the tornado missed by about 8 miles or actually dissipated!
it kept some folks away till morning! well as usual
I have no Idea what time I went to bed but it was after midnight. I
slept sound! I got up around 9:30 surprised I slept so late,

when I
got up I found some coffee and a breakfast sandwich and sat and visited
for a while! about the time I got through eating people were starting to
show up! several said they didn't want to come with the tornados popping
up! well the games got started about
noonish with kid games! Poor Wide Dawg was looking pretty tuckered out
after running three kids in a row in the wheel barrel race! That was followed by the tricycle relay and egg relay
then the the barrel races for the big kids followed by little kids lawn
mower races! A little break to set up and then the real races started
these guys take this real serious! Actually they take all the contest
serious! if you intend to compete in any event here you better have your
game face on! im pretty good in most of the games by virtue of number of
miles ridden but I have to really be at my best to get a win here!
There used to be about 4 bikes doing
most of the racing but now there are about 15to 20 people racing in
different classes! including some small people races 50 cc's or
less! then bike games again! slow race double
slow race! balloon toss! followed by people games panty race.
plunger race! then more bike games potato race and winnie bite, well there
was a shower and the sky was getting darker so they handed out plaques to
the kids! so parents could take the kids home! then the adult fun started
in spite of some rain! of course they had there bon fire! the rain didn't
make it a dent in it!
