I will start this
story with the fact that throw away cameras are not as good a quality in
spite of what you have heard!
I knew my kid and her boyfriend would be riding with me to so I got out
one of those disposable cameras to put in my pocket I wanted a few pic of
us riding I figured if I dropped it or lost it or a rock hit it no
great loss just the pic would be gone! the Idea was sound! we even handed
it back and forth between us as we rode so that is how the pic of me got
in there! we did get a few looks from the cages handing it back
and forth!

we rode from my place to the bike shop where he got his
bike to pic up a key but it was being shipped from the factory so they
gave him a lock to secure it till then! After about a 45min delay we
headed back down the road! we made pretty good time till all the water I
drank at the harley shop hit me then we pulled over at the rest stop on
I-35 just before you get to Davis then it was on to Ardmore where we
stopped to fill up Vince's bike it was brand new and he had not figured
out how far it would go on reserve!

I filled up
too so no more stops till we get there! we turned off at the Madill exit
and headed east! I saw a couple of bikes ahead and sped up just a bit to
catch them because I thought I knew them! Sure enough it was Sissy and
Stephanie, but Stephanie was riding bitch behind her old man what a shock! After
a bit I slowed back down because Vince was still in the
break in period! I needed to let him catch up. We got to the rally about 7:30 we had plenty of time to
set up camp and settle in before dark then it was off to take pic and say
hi to everyone!
I have not figured out why the turn was so low except
that there was another event just down the road the same weekend! I heard
it was not any bigger either, but that is rumor! This event used to
have one of the biggest turnouts in the state! the money goes to
support the 8 vet centers around the state! this is one we all should be
attending every year! I know that the weather was wet and cold for a few
years so they moved it to June so the weather was better and it was nice
and hot, lots of water to cool off in! those that did attend, had a good
time too! Two rode in from Az. Termite and his cousin Ron, and I'm not sure
where Baum lives now but he rode in too! It was good to see Termite as I
had not seen his ugly mug since I rode out there to see him in 99! that
was a hell of a trip but that is a different story!
