time! To Tony King On March 19th 2009 this old world became a little darker place! Tony King. a man with the biggest brightest smile, the most infectious laugh and contagious charm passed from this world. He will be truly missed by many. Tony some how went from the "high school nerd" to being the biggest "chick magnet" around. I don't know how he kept their names straight or even remembered them but he did. |
Even more amazing is he managed to
keep most of them as close friends! Tony never met a stranger and would
talk to anyone. He had a way of always making you feel welcome.
Whether he was floating the Illinois river or going to the city to party
Tony made it a good time. Every party I ever remember being at with Tony
he would always say whew whew whew best party ever was. and that is how he
lived his life like every day was his last. He made the best out of
every situation and if he was having a bad day you would never have know
it. From his home made wine to his bad ass parties to his infectious laugh
Tony will not soon be forgotten. One of the most memorable things about Tony was his long curly strawberry blond hair. he started out in the 80s looking like one of the Partridge family then went on to look like a member of some heavy metal band. I do believe at least on one occasion he and several of his buddies were mistaken for members of a band in Mexico. On one of our trips to Eureka Springs Tony was so lucky to have two personal hair dressers with him. Alesha and I took Tony into our rooms and put to flat irons to work we were determined to straighten his hair. we just knew it would be past his butt if we could get it straightened out. We worked and worked on this big project and finally we just gave up. It was straighter than normal but still a little fuzzy that is until he stepped out side in the humidity then it became a whole lot fuzzy but Tony in typical Tony just flipped his hair forward over his face slapped on some sunglasses and walked around like Cousin It. we always had a good time with Tony he just would not allow any thing else. The one thing Tony was proudest of was his one and only child Drew Anthony Edward King! This little man was his pride and joy, his greatest accomplishment, this little man just inherited more fathers than he could ever want to have. we can only hope that he inherited his fathers beautiful smile, infectious Laugh and purely contagious charm. RIP Tony you will be truly missed! by his friend Harley Girl |
