My
spring trip to Mayfit started out as usual this year 10 min before I
wanted to be gone I was still running around trying to get every thing
done! from packing up the new camera I had to buy, the other one had gone
to the shop for repairs and still wasn't back, so I had to do
something. I needed a camera for Mayfit so I figured it was
just as easy to upgrade to the new one! this way I have a back up! if
thing Are out of sequence it is because I didn't realize you have to
format the cards before you use them in the new one! well I finally
got things loaded and out the door! the ride up was a pleasant one with
only a small amount of construction on I 35! I always enjoy this ride once
you get past Ponca city there are rolling hills and open feilds of grass
with either cows or lots of horses along the way! the roads are not so
busy that you cant look around and enjoy the scenery! there are a limited
amount of side roads to worry about too! |
along with several camps along
the way to say hi to my friends as I go! I have said before this event
is more like a family reunion! some years you see more family than others,
life has a way of getting in the way so some cant make it! there have
been times when I would not see some one for 4 or 5 years then there they
are again! you talk and catch up on what has been going on! more of the
family was able to make it this year! well as the party ran on I got some
good pic and enjoyed the company of friends! the music was good and
everyone was having a good time! I did get the opportunity to meet a
couple of young soldiers where home on leave! they were having a good
time! a couple of the girls made their day! they were on there way back to
sand land! thanks for your service guys! about 1230 the band took a break
and the stage show got under way! the girls did their best to to entertain
the crowd! |
