No rain in the
forecast for this day now that is a new one for me this year! well not
having rain in the forecast and not having rain maybe is the way to put
that! I got up Saturday morning and left my place about 9:30 that puts me
in Woodward about 12:00 for the start of the poker run! it was nice
and cool in the morning and the beginning of the trip went smooth all the
way to Watonga where I ran into a sign that said road closed! ok so now
what! I talk to one of the locals and he told me to make a right and go
three miles to a paved road then turn left and go about three more miles
and turn left again to go back to the highway because there was water over
the highway between the sign and town! well the detour was not bad and
before long I was back on my way to Woodward.

I was thinking the poker run started at 12 noon but it was
not till 1:00 so I got there in plenty of time! actually as I was coming
into town I Saw Lee Jackson and his lady headed somewhere! so I knew I had
a little time left! I made one stop at the gas station and then on to the
bar I had just got my camera out and walked out side when I ran into this
group of rough bikers! See first photo! after getting a quick picture of
them I slipped away where I found someone to put my camera in there
cage because I had no rider to carry it! I still can't ride and take
pic too! well we headed out a little after 1 but not too late! the
ride in a pack stayed close together! we made the first stop where we
picked up several new riders, I saw Jodi which I had not seen since we did
this ride last year! then after we were done drawing cards we headed out
to the next stop.

It was a new place!
the local police officer took time out to visit with some of us! and was
even nice enough to move his vehicle to the end of the line of bikes for a
pic! while I was There some one hollered at me and at first I didn't know
who it was but after a while I realized I knew them pretty well and had
known them a long time! like 35 years! One of them and I have
three nieces in common! the other I went to Jr high with!

talk about a blast from the past! anyway from there we
headed on down to the next stop, sometimes I forget not everyone is used
to riding in a pack and wonder why they don't fill in the gaps and ride
side by side! but then every one has to learn some time! so my advice to
those is to try the back first where you have a little moving room and you
can watch the older riders and how they do it! on with the ride! we
stopped in Arnett and they had there annual car show going on! I do
love those old classic cars I walked around the square and shot pic of my favorites!
I ran into another one of those mean looking bikers there too! pic 18 page
two! she was still on her bike!
