she could get a few good pic of the pack behind us! well as it turns out this leg of the trip was about 60 miles and she got a lot of pic and a first in riding experience! she did have one problem, some how she accidentally moved the adjustment for aperture on the camera so about 100 of the pic she took were pretty over exposed! before some one says something you try riding backward the first time and not bump something out! I fixed that at the next stop thought and told her to keep an eye on that! I was able to fix the pic in photoshop! after the next stop I ask her if she was ok riding backward and she said it was cool so we but her back on the same way! at this point the only problem is she took lots more pic than I thought she would and the batteries in the flash got where they would not keep up! so with the shutter this caused the shutter to slow down which made some of the pic a bit soft but still workable! had I know she took that many pic I would have put some new batteries in the flash! my fault for not checking! we did have fun with the whole thing though, ever one would just get this odd look when they saw her facing backward! I did borrow one pic from garry of her just so she could see her doing it! all in all she rode just about 100 miles facing backward and has told me she want so do it again! well we made all the stops along the way and as usual I didn't win a thing! nothing new about that though! well we finally got to foss lake and I set up camp as soon as we got there! then went to get in line for the feed bag! |
ever year they put on a great feed once we
get there and drinks too! beer for some and water and pop for us non
drinkers! the food was even better! I was lucky some one kept me a place in
line while I ran around and got pic! once I got my plate i set the camera
down and enjoyed my meal! after supper I went back to camp and changed
batteries again and them headed over to the pavalion for some fellowship and
music! every one was having fun! I know it I was one of the largest groups
to ride in the poker run! and several folks from other chapters came to join
us! every one partied till about midnight with the band providing the music!
then they took a break and had a stage show with a special contestant! it
was all in fun! anyway after the stage show the band came back and
played again and somewhere about 1am I finally headed off to bed! well
I woke up about 8am and headed over to the CMA tent for some coffee! I
visited a bit with folks over there and finally made my way back to camp and
took a couple of pic for the three sands group that came then started to
break camp! about 10:30 I was on the road home! I went straight south to I 40
and then into Clinton! I stopped there to fill up with gas and then headed
home! it was a nice ride all the way home! no wind, rain, or even bad
traffic! by about 12:45 I was backing my bike into the garage! well till next time The Picture Man |
