It is time to make my trek back to Woodward again to support my chapter of Abate not to mention go to fun party! Did I also mention I get an extra 150 miles on every one else in the poker run! i leave the house about 9 in the morning and ride up thru kingfisher along 33 then it turns into 270 some where in there and or some call it the NW passage but it goes thru Watonga and then to Seiling and then Woodward. It is a nice ride when the weather is good which it was on this trip! the ride from Watonga is pretty this time of year when the grass on the hills are green! and the sunshine reflects off the gyp rock!

any way I made it into Woodward to the Office  about 45 min before the ride started and got signed up! I didn't have a passenger but wanted to take my gear off the bike so I could use my camera so I bummed a place to put my stuff then started taking pic of every one gathering up to go! it was a much bigger crowd than normal as a matter of fact we had over a hundred in the pack when we left Woodward! which is the largest so far and we picked up more when we got to the first stop!

One of the things we do; on this run is ride in a pack as a learning experience! for the in-experienced that, "are not" comfortable  in tight formation they can ride more to the rear so they can have greater space between bikes and watch other older riders and learn! the other part is we keep every one together so we can take care of each other if some one has trouble! with a chase trailer at the rear to pick up if needed!  The chase trailer was a donation by Jeff Smith's family in honor of him, after a man talking on the phone ran over and killed him in front of his home! Jeff was one of Abate NW 69 Officers!   Just "My" reminder to ALL, to look out for bikers and to hang up and drive! Ok back on track!

I also want to mention that some poker runs do a shot gun style  (you or small group come in resister and then follow a map on your own to each stop) but this is not one of them! Capt Abate you did a great job of managing this pack!  we left out at about 1:15 headed to Gage for the first stop! I think we picked up about 25 of more riders there! then on to the next stop I picked up a passenger here! which is a good thing I handed her the camera and she took pic as we were riding and since I had the camera all set up it went pretty smooth!
