just your cool cap and some paint! then I ended up back down by the game
field just in time to catch the beginning of the best buns contest and get
some shots! I did notice the girl photographers were working real hard at
this contest! well from there it was back to party central to catch
Vanzant on stage, along with lots of parting! I wonder around all over
trying to catch every thing going on! and some times time gets away from
me and I will notice almost every one has got to bed and I will look at my
watch and it will be the wee hours of the morning! The boogie is almost
always like that! and Friday night was, so I wondered off to bed! I got up
Saturday morning went over to the Unchained Gangs camp for coffee and a
few donuts! They are one of the Christian groups that set up at the
boogie! then it was up to region 13 for the arm wrestling! now these guys
and girls take this competition serious! as a matter of fact I think
they take it as serious as my chapter NW69 does the bike games! the
pic will so you how serious they are! from there I caught the tale end of
a wedding before I rushed up by the front gate to photograph the bike
show! they had some really cool customs there and some old antiques lots
for all tastes! I liked Slims penny bike it is very unique! After I
got done there I slipped around the corner and caught some of the workers
at the gate! I always seem to catch the ones out doing different jobs
around camp like the transportation crew, security, and the ones who put
on the different events

but the gate crew seem to get left
out because it is less glamorous! so
I wanted to make sure I got them they put in lots of hours and get little
recognition, from there I made another pass around the camp ground
catching all the action out there! including a stop by the day stage
I got to the tattoo contest just in time to
catch the last if it! and all of the best buns contest! I did notice none
of the guys were crowding me while I was trying to shoot this
contest! haha! from there I made my way back up to the big top in time to
get some late lunch 530 that is then I headed over to the stage to catch
the presentations followed by the famous Hoosier Honey contest,
hosted by Radical Randy! what a show always one of the best I have
seen. more music and finally the party began to wind down about 230 in the
morning! I got up Sunday morning about 7:30am headed to the Christian tent
for some coffee and then headed back to my camp to start breaking
down! I managed to get on the road by 10 but I had to do the short
good bye, I have made many friends here and if I take time to say
good bye to all of them I would not be on the road till after noon!
well since i got wet on the way I was in a good position to have a dry
ride home! I had a half a tank of gas so I just headed south, down thru
the forest and out onto I-65 then west to St Louis I got there during the
light traffic time so I went straight through in a very short time! then I
was out in the country along the way I decided I needed to keep going
because it was going to be late when I got home!
