Well I got go this year unlike last when my bike broke down just south of highway 60 on I-35 well actually I limped back to Guthrie anyway I left out from my place about 11 on Friday! I wanted to get there before dark! the trip was pretty uneventful  I rode up I-35 to almost Wichita and stopped for gas then headed on!  I went from there all the way to the end of the turnpike! I was needing to pee and missed a turn looking for a station but in the long run I found a shorter way to go! I cut almost 40 miles off my trip! yehah!  anyway I rolled into the rally site early got checked in and ended up with my normal camp site!  everyone was very nice and said sure help yourself to the open spot!  I set up camp in about 20 min! 

Well from there I hit the road running! I only walked about 100 feet over to the road when I shot my first pic! there is always plenty to shoot here! every one plans on this party all year and they come to party! also money has been tight all summer with gas prices so high and all! everyone seems a little more comfortable that things might be ok again!  So everyone was in the groove party wise! I ran around all evening trying to catch everything going on and got most of it! I'm sure I missed some things but I made the trip to the stage and back to the big top at least 5 times maybe more!
 There seem to be abundance of  professional cameras there this time most I talk to were professional photographers come to see the sites not cover the event!  I also will give this warning to all make sure who you are posing for and what they intend to do with them!   Enough on that!

Some where about 2 am I finally headed off to bed hoping to get a little sleep! the weather was great for sleeping because it cooled off so I actually slept till almost 9am! I got up and headed over to the CMA tent for a cup of coffee! I visited with them! well it wasn't too long till I needed to get busy and take some pic again! so im off and running! it wasn't to long till I needed to head to the field for the games! Io got there too late to sign up! I guess they have a cut off for all the games! I was thinking I could sign up for just the ones I wanted to play as they got to them! and the worst part was the prizes were money not trophies! Well I got some good shots of the games then made a walk down the road to see what was going on during a slow time in the games! I got back just in time for the tire drags!  those are fun to watch and I get some cool pic from them too!  

I also made a trip out to the road from time to time to shoot pic of all the fun going on! I did run into some one I knew at the games but I almost didn't see her! there was less than half of her! she looked good! she was my contact for info for all of Kansas Abate info! now I have to get her husband to send me info! Hi Sheri you look wonderful!  After all the games were over I headed back down to the big top for something to eat! I found some barbeque that was really good stuff!  ok back to shooting pic and the fun!  every one was in the party mood and having fun!  lots of pic and music! the bans are good! I have to say I like the DJ because he plays music the girls can dance to and it is usually stuff I like! he also keeps the place hopping under the bigtop! but late night I made a second trip to the stage to catch the stage show! all the girls were primed and ready to put on a show there! Ok so again about 2:30 in the morning I wondered off to bed! sleep!!!!!
